Privacy policy
Summary
We collect what we need to pass your request to one licensed local agent or one cash home buyer, and to understand how the site is used. We share your request with that one agent or buyer. We don't sell lists of contact details to marketers.
What we collect
When you send a request: the property address, city and ZIP code; details about the home (bedrooms, bathrooms, condition) or your reasons and timing; your name, email and, if you give it, your phone number. We also keep the exact consent wording shown to you, whether you ticked the call and text box, and the date and time, plus which page you started on and how you arrived (for example a search engine, an ad or a link).
When an agent or buyer applies, or you contact us: the details you type into the form.
When you browse: our own analytics records the pages you view, which buttons you tap, the site you came from, your device type, and an approximate location (city and state) worked out from your internet address at the time of the visit. We don't store your internet address. A random identifier kept in your browser's storage lets us count returning visitors; it isn't linked to your name or contact details. If Google Analytics or the Meta (Facebook) pixel is switched on for this site, those companies may also collect usage information through cookies, including that you completed a request, to measure advertising.
Please don't send us sensitive information such as financial account numbers or details of your mortgage.
How we use it
- To pass your request to one agent or one cash buyer, and to follow up about it
- To contact you by email, and by call or text only if you ticked the box
- To keep a record of your consent
- To bill agents and buyers for requests we pass to them, and handle refunds for bad leads
- To improve the site and prevent spam and abuse
Who we share it with
- One licensed agent or one cash buyer. They receive your request so they can contact you about it. Once they have your details, their own privacy practices apply. We never pass the same request to more than one at a time. If the first one can't help, we may pass it to another and will tell you if we do.
- Service providers that run the site for us, such as hosting, email delivery and analytics, only as needed to provide their services.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
Texts and calls
If you ticked the box, we and the one agent or buyer we pass your request to may call or text you about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts from that sender. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
How long we keep it
We keep requests for up to 24 months so we can account for them with agents and buyers and handle questions, then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw a request before we pass it on, through our contact page. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Children
This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
